Egypt Awards 5G Licences to Vodafone, Orange and e& Egypt

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA), has awarded 5G licences to Vodafone Egypt, Orange Egypt and e& Egypt. This new phase builds upon the initial 5G licence granted to Telecom Egypt in January for a value of USD 150 million.

The agreements, signed at the NTRA headquarters in Smart Village, aim to enhance communication services, boost network capacity and support key sectors such as smart cities, logistics, healthcare and agriculture.
