Egypt’s Engineering Exports Hit Record USD 4.18 Billion in 2025
Exports expanded across Europe, the Arab region, Asia and Africa, including the United Kingdom, the UAE, China and South Africa, per the Engineering Export Council of Egypt.

Egypt’s engineering exports reached USD 4.187 billion between January and August 2025, a 12% increase from USD 3.746 billion in the same period of 2024. The Engineering Export Council of Egypt described this as the highest eight-month total on record for the sector, citing official export data. The Council reported increases across key sub-sectors: auto components up 24%, electrical and electronic products up 18%, home appliances up 15%, transportation up 11%, technical and medical industries up 37%, and metals up 84%. The Council is working with the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Ministry of Finance on measures linked to export subsidy programmes. Exports expanded in target markets across Europe, including the United Kingdom, Turkey, Slovakia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Spain, and Slovenia, as well as in Arab markets such as the UAE, Iraq, Libya, Algeria, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, and Syria. Growth was also reported in Asian markets including Azerbaijan, China, and Indonesia, African markets such as Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa, alongside the United States.
