After her loss in the Round of 16, the Egyptian fencer announced she was competing while 7 months pregnant.

After making it to the Sabre Individual Women's Round of 16 in the 2024 Paris Olympics, three-time Olympian Egyptian fencer Nada Hafez has announced that she was competing while seven months pregnant.
In a statement on her personal Instagram account, the Olympian shared that, “This specific Olympics was different; three-time Olympian but this time carrying a little Olympian one!”
Hafez bid farewell to the competition after a 15-7 defeat against Korean Hayoung Jeon, ranking 10th in the world in the tournament.
