Etihad Rail Announces New High Speed Train Between Abu Dhabi & Dubai
The train will travel at 350 km/h, passing through six key stations including Reem Island, Saadiyat and Al Jaddaf.
Etihad Rail has unveiled UAE’s first high-speed, all-electric passenger train, set to connect Abu Dhabi and Dubai in just 30 minutes. The train will travel at 350 km/h, passing through six key stations, including Reem Island, Saadiyat and Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, and Al Maktoum International Airport and Al Jaddaf in Dubai.
This project will extend across the UAE, connecting all emirates with stops in Sharjah, Fujairah and beyond, ultimately linking to Oman via the GCC Railway. A separate regular-speed train will operate at 200 km/h, serving additional routes and accommodating up to 400 passengers.
The initiative, expected to boost the UAE’s GDP by AED 145 billion over 50 years, aims to enhance connectivity, and support sustainability across the region. The construction timelines have not been finalised yet.
