Famed Surgeon Magdi Yacoub to Discuss Upcoming Biography at AUC Tahrir
The biography, ‘A Surgeon and a Maverick’, will be published by AUC Press this July.
Famed Egyptian surgeon and founder of the Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, Sir Magdi Yacoub, will deliver a talk at AUC Tahrir on January 17th at 6:30 PM. The talk will centre around his upcoming biography, ‘A Surgeon and a Maverick’, which will be published by AUC Press this July.
The biography shines a light on Yacoub’s inspiring career, from his formative years working in Britain to various communities around the world and back to Egypt’s Aswan, where his foundation and research institute are based. The book is written by veteran journalists Simon Pearson and Fiona Gorman, and will be released worldwide. The upcoming talk, ‘From the Heart: A Pioneer in Science and Philanthropy A Conversation with Sir Magdi Yacoub’ will be moderated by Associate Professor of Practice at AUC, Khaled Ezz El Arab allowing audiences in person and virtually through AUC’s website to engage with the renowned surgeon.
