First Phase of Riyadh Sports Boulevard Officially Opens
The first phase of the project features five key destinations spanning over 13 km.

The first phase of Riyadh’s sports boulevard project has just opened to the public, featuring pedestrian pathways, cycling and equestrian trails, green spaces, and designated resting areas.
The project features five key destinations so far, including Wadi Hanifah, the Promenade, the section at the intersection of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Road and Prince Turki bin Abdulaziz Al-Awwal Road, the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University internal loop, and the first phase of Sands Sports Park.
The Riyadh sports boulevard project was launched in 2019 by King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Overall progress has so far reached about 40% completion and spans 13.4 km. The total completed length of the project spans over 80 km.
