French Firm to Build High-Speed Train From Ain Sokhna to North Coast
The 330 kilometer high speed train line will travel from the Red Sea Port at Ain Sokhna to Borg El Arab in Alexandria.
A new high speed train will soon connect Egypt’s coastal hotspots, Ain Sokhna and the North Coast. The train will be built by French construction company NGE and will travel from the Red Sea Port at Ain Sokhna to Borg El Arab at the Mediterranean port in Alexandria.
The 330 kilometer high speed train line is part of Egypt’s railway and transport development plan, with another high speed train set to connect Cairo and Luxor. Details about the high-speed train’s operation dates are yet to be announced, but it sounds like summer weekends at both destinations may soon be a breeze.
