Google Doodle Celebrates Egyptian Actress Karima Mokhtar
Google Doodle celebrates the legacy of late actress Karima Mokhtar on what would have been her 89th birthday.
Google is celebrating the late actress Karima Mokhtar with a Google Doodle prominently displayed on their website to commemorate what would have been her 89th birthday.
Known as the ‘Mother of Egyptian Cinema’, the actress is famous for starring in Egyptian films and series such as ‘Al Hafeed’, ‘Amira Hobi’ alongside Souad Hosni and Hussein Fahmy, and ‘Yetraba F Ezzo’ alongside Yehia El Fakharany. In 2007, she won the award for Best Actress at the Cairo Arab Media Festival.
Karima Mokhtar passed away in January 2017, leaving behind a legacy of powerful performances which helped pave the path for female actresses across the MENA region.
