The Ministry of Health and Population has announced that the drug shortage in Egypt is expected to be resolved within a two-to-three-month timeframe.
The current shortage stems from a foreign currency crisis that has impacted Egypt's ability to import essential raw materials needed for medicine production.
The Ministry of Health implemented measures to prioritize critical medical supplies. These measures focused on ensuring a steady supply of vital medications. Immune system boosters and medications for tumors, along with cerebral and cardiac catheters and anesthesia, received top priority.
