Ministry of Health Launches New Platform for Medication Alternatives

The Ministry of Health and Population has officially launched an online platform designed to help citizens find alternatives and substitutes for essential medications. This initiative aims to tackle the ongoing issue of medication shortages in the country by detailing safe and effective substitutes that maintain the same therapeutic benefits without compromising patient safety.

The new service allows users to easily access the platform, register and conduct searches using either the scientific name or common name of medications or the diseases they are addressing. In addition to the online search capabilities, the ministry has issued a comprehensive brochure that lists the most sought-after medications among citizens. This brochure details the corresponding substitutes and alternatives currently available in the market.
