HerStory Films MENA Opens Submissions for Female Filmmakers in Egypt
Co-founded by Mona Zaki and May Abdelsalam, HerStory Films MENA is accepting submissions until April 12th.

HerStory Films MENA, the Egypt-based film production company dedicated to supporting female filmmakers, has opened submissions for the second edition of its fully funded Incubator Program.
Co-founded by Mona Zaki and May Abdelsalam, and supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Egypt, HerStory Films MENA aims to provide women in the film industry with the mentorship and resources needed to bring their stories to a wider audience.
The program is seeking 20 short film projects that explore gender-related themes. Selected filmmakers will receive expert guidance from leading industry professionals to develop their scripts, with three finalists having their films produced by HerStory Films MENA.
Eligible applicants must have a registered script for a short film not exceeding 15 minutes. Submissions are open until April 12th, 2025.
