International Jazz Day Will Swing Its Way Into Abu Dhabi in April 2025
Taking place on April 30th, the day will showcase Arabic Jazz, using instruments like the oud, the qanoon and the ney.
Since its debut in 2011, International Jazz Day has united jazz-lovers and communities around the world. Next year, in 2025, International Jazz Day will be barrel turning its way into Abu Dhabi, a UNESCO Creative City of Music, to showcase Arabic Jazz to the world, using instruments like the oud, the qanoon and the ney.
International Jazz Day takes place on April 30th every year, and in 2025 visitors to Abu Dhabi will be able to expect concerts featuring both local and international jazz artists, celebrating musical diversity and encouraging some rising young stars.
Abu Dhabi will also be hosting educational programs and community outreach projects as part of International Jazz Day, meaning that schools across the capital will be hosting their own music events and programs.
Berklee Abu Dhabi and New York University Abu Dhabi will be leading these youth programs, holding workshops, and hosting masterclasses. It is the hope of the organisers that the programs will encourage aspiring young musicians to find their interest in jazz and pursue jazz careers.
