Jeddah to Host Asian Champions League Single Leg Ties in April

Four Asian Champions League last 16 ties postponed due to the US-Israeli war on Iran will now be played as single-leg fixtures in Jeddah on April 13th and 14th, 2026, according to the Asian Football Confederation. The matches were originally scheduled as home-and-away fixtures across Qatar, Iran, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates during the first two weeks of March.

Under the revised format, progression to the tournament’s finals stage will be decided through single-leg outcomes in Jeddah.

Defending champions Al-Ahli are due to take on Al-Duhail from Qatar, while four-time winners Al-Hilal will face Al-Sadd. Shabab Al-Ahli from the United Arab Emirates will play Iran’s Tractor FC, and Al-Wahda meet Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad.

Jeddah had already been selected as the host city for the quarter-finals, semi-finals and final, which are scheduled to take place between April 16th and 25th under a centralised format.

On the eastern side of the draw, last 16 matches have concluded, with Vissel Kobe, Machida Zelvia, Buriram United and Johor Darul Ta'zim advancing to the quarter-finals. The draw for the quarter-finals will be held in Kuala Lumpur on Wednesday.
