The Journalists Syndicate and the Women’s Committee of the Syndicate are organizing a day in solidarity with Palestinian women and children on November 29th, as part of their 16-day program to combat violence against women.
Under the slogan ‘International Organization With Double Standards…Stop The Aggression…Lift The Siege’, the day will start with a vigil from 5 PM to 6 PM in protest of the Israeli occupation, followed by a panel discussion focusing on the history of Palestinian women’s resistance to Israeli oppression. Speakers joining the panel discussion include president of the Palestinian Women Union, Amal Al Agha, and Palestinian activist Mariam Abo Daka.
The day will include a screening of films that document the atrocities committed against the Palestinian people, as well as a segment dubbed ‘Beit Al Hawadeet’, which will include reading letters written by Palestinian children regarding the bombardment they are currently witnessing presented by actor Mohamed Abdelfattah.
