Khawaneej Farm Declared Union Site Commemorating UAE's Founding

His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, has announced Khawaneej Farm as an official Union site. This makes it the third Union after the Union House and Arqoob Al Sedira.

The decision was made due to the farm’s significant role during the early discussions between Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and other regional rulers of the UAE. These discussions laid the foundation for the unification of the Emirati regions and the signing of the first Emirati constitution four months later, an event now celebrated across the UAE as Union Pledge Day.
