King Salman Academy Launches Glossary to Standardise Arabic Terms
A comprehensive glossary aims to unify media language, benefiting researchers, journalists, and media professionals.
The King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language (KSGAAL), in collaboration with the Ministry of Media, has introduced a comprehensive media glossary to standardise and clarify Arabic terminology across the media landscape. The initiative seeks to provide a reliable linguistic reference for researchers, journalists and media professionals.
The glossary, featuring approximately 800 entries, provides the Arabic equivalents for media-related terms, their grammatical categories, entry types, meanings and English translations. It spans terminology from traditional media formats like print journalism, radio and television, to modern digital platforms, including social media, podcasts, online journalism and digital marketing.
