Louvre Abu Dhabi Announces Free Entry on International Museum Day
The museum will host multiple exhibits alongside their permanent ones, available for all residents to enjoy this weekend.
Louvre Abu Dhabi is celebrating International Museum Day by offering complimentary entry to all UAE residents on May 18th. You can gain access to this cultural landmark with your Emirates ID. Pre-booking is advisable due to expected crowds with a simple process through the Louvre's website under the ‘International Museum Day Complimentary Access for UAE Residents’ section. At the museum, visitors can explore the museum's permanent collection, which spans from ancient civilizations to contemporary art as well as a special exhibition titled ‘From Kalila wa Dimna to La Fontaine: Travelling through Fables’. Running until July 21, this exhibit delves into the world of animal fables, offering a chance to create personalized fables using AI technology. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the museum's architectural marvels, including outdoor areas and a café with a scenic view, and even catch a glimpse of the turtles in their own dedicated space, part of The National Aquarium's Wildlife Rescue Programme.
