Makkah to Open Its First Eco-Friendly Stone Park
Makkah is set to open its first eco-friendly stone park, blending heritage and sustainability. Built with recycled materials, it will feature seating, play areas and paths.
Makkah is set to open its first stone park, designed to promote environmental sustainability and showcase local heritage. Spanning 1,000 square metres, the park will be constructed using recycled materials and leftover stones from local projects to design a sustainable landscape.
The project, overseen by Makkah’s municipality, aims to enhance park landscapes while minimising environmental impact. By blending natural beauty with the region’s cultural heritage, the park will serve as both a recreational space and a model for sustainable urban design.
The park will feature seating areas, children’s play spaces, and educational paths, all built with eco-friendly materials requiring minimal maintenance. Its design takes into account climate conditions such as temperature fluctuations and rainfall, ensuring the park remains adaptable to environmental changes while allowing for easy modifications.
