Medical Syndicate Sends 2,000 Doctors to Rebuild Gaza’s Health Sector
The announcement was made during a press conference where a coalition of unions reaffirmed their support for Palestine
The Egyptian Medical Syndicate has announced its mobilisation of at least 2,000 doctors to aid in the rebuilding of Gaza’s healthcare system.
This falls in as part of an urgent and long term plan to support Gaza’s health sector, which has been strategically and methodically devastated by Israeli forces since October 2023. Immediate actions will include sending medical teams and establishing field hospitals, while long term efforts are being coordinated with Palestinian health authorities in Gaza to assist with the reconstruction.
The announcement was made during a press conference held by a coalition of professional unions at the Journalists Syndicate, where they reaffirmed their support for Palestine and rejected any talk of displacing Palestinians from their land. During the conference, the head of the medical syndicate also condemned US President Donald Trump’s suggestion that Palestinians should leave Gaza for Egypt and Jordan.
