Mena Massoud Drops Trailer for First Egyptian Film ‘In Broad Daylight’
The Egyptian-Canadian actor shared a first look at the upcoming thriller, marking his debut in Egyptian cinema.

Egyptian-Canadian actor Mena Massoud has unveiled the official trailer for ‘In Broad Daylight’, his first Egyptian feature film. The teaser, released on Massoud’s social media accounts, marks a new chapter in his career working in Arabic-language cinema after rising to international prominence in Hollywood films like Disney’s live-action ‘Aladdin’ and ‘Wish You Were Here’, which came out earlier this year.
Directed by Morkos Adel and written by Karim Sorour, ‘In Broad Daylight’ is a high-stakes action thriller featuring a prominent Egyptian cast, including Eman Al-Assi, Shereen Reda, Bayoumi Fouad and Jamila Awad.
In a caption accompanying the trailer, Massoud reflected on his career trajectory and his connection to Egyptian cinema, writing: “From childhood, I dreamed of being an actor… I succeeded in Hollywood, but my love for cinema started in Egypt.”
While an official release date has yet to be announced, the film’s trailer suggests it will be positioned as a major theatrical release in Egypt.
