Menna Shalaby Stars in Sequel to Hit Film ‘Hepta’
Egyptian film ‘Hepta’ returns with a new cast featuring Menna Shalaby, Karim Fahmy and more.
Eight years later, the cast and official posters for the highly anticipated sequel to the hit Egyptian film Hepta have finally been revealed, with filming now underway in Cairo.
Starring Menna Shalaby and Karim Fahmy, alongside Salma Abu Deif, Asmaa Galal, Karim Kassem, Mayan El Sayed, and Hassan Malek, the sequel, titled ‘Al Monathra Al Akheera’, has been long awaited by fans across the Arab world since the original film’s release in 2016.
Directed by Hadi El Bagoury and based on the bestselling novel by Mohamed Sadek, Hepta originally featured a stellar cast including Amr Youssef, Maged El Kedwany, Yasmine Raees, Ahmed Malek, and Jamila Awad, and became a box office sensation in Egypt.
The original film followed Dr. Shukri Mokhtar, a social psychologist who delivers a final lecture on the stages of love, intertwined with four stories connected by a common thread. While details of the sequel’s plot remain under wraps, the introduction of new characters and cast members has certainly heightened curiosity.
