NMEC Introduces Audio Guides to Royal Mummies Hall
The new audio guides offer an immersive experience in Arabic and English at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation.
The National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation is introducing a new audio guide service in the royal mummies hall, where guided tours have so far been prohibited. The service will offer an immersive experience through the historical and archeological insights into the lives, accomplishments and contributions of these royal figures to ancient Egyptian history.
The service will begin on Wednesday July 10th, and will provide detailed historical explanations via headsets in both Arabic and English.
This initiative is part of the museum’s ongoing efforts to update service quality and enhance visitor experiences, in line with Egypt’s latest national tourism strategy.
The museum also recently introduced a guided tour booking service, offering guided tours of the central hall as well as the Egyptian textile halls. The tours are available in Arabic and English throughout the week and can be booked through the museum’s official website.
Visitors can rent an audio guide from the museum’s reception while paying for the entry ticket.
