New Addiction Treatment Centre is Being Established in New Aswan
The new centre is expected to provide free treatment services to individuals from the South Upper Egypt governorates.
The city of New Aswan will soon establish its first addiction treatment centre as part of a joint effort between Aswan University and the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction at the Ministry of Social Solidarity.
The Addiction Treatment Center in New Aswan will feature state-of-the-art medical equipment and will have a capacity of 90 beds. It will also include facilities like a sports field, training workshops for patients, a lecture hall, a theatre, and a lounge for medical staff. The new centre is expected to provide free treatment services to individuals from the South Upper Egypt governorates.
This centre marks a significant addition to Aswan's healthcare infrastructure, as the governorate currently lacks its own addiction treatment centre, forcing patients to travel to other governorates to receive treatment.
