The Egyptian Cabinet approved a new draft law to create a national database for identifying real estate.
A number of governmental entities, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, as well as the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, will work in tandem to fulfil the draft law’s mandate to assign each property with a corresponding identifying link.
The draft law aspires to help the State in the registry of properties through the creation of a central database and thereby ease property-related legal matters, and fulfil the property rights of Egyptian citizens.
