Over Quarter of a Million Pilgrims Arrive for Hajj This May

As of May 19th, a total of 267,657 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia from across the globe to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) reported that this number includes pilgrims entering through Saudi airports, seaports and land entry points, with the majority arriving by air.
The Jawazat has been utilizing all its resources to streamline the entry process for pilgrims, enhancing its online platforms at international entry points with advanced technological devices and qualified staff proficient in multiple languages spoken by the pilgrims.
Since the start of the Hajj season on May 9th (Dhul Qada 1), tens of thousands of pilgrims have been arriving daily in Makkah and Madinah, supported by an integrated and accessible system designed to ensure they can perform their rituals with ease and comfort.
