President Sisi Wins ‘Champion of Peace’ Award by PAM

The Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) has chosen Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to receive the 'Champion of Peace' award for the year 2024, citing his "wise leadership and significant role in promoting peace and stability in the region”.
In their announcement, the Parliament underscored that President al-Sisi's selection for the 2024 honour reflects an appreciation for his ongoing endeavours to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, facilitate crucial aid delivery to the Palestinian population, and ensure the release of hostages and prisoners.
The formal declaration of President al-Sisi's achievement of the 'Champion of Peace' award from (PAM) is slated to occur during the inaugural session of the eighteenth General Assembly of the Mediterranean Parliament, scheduled for May 15, 2024, in Braga, Portugal.
