Public Bus Routes Set to Double in Jeddah

According to Jeddah Public Transit, the city of Jeddah will undergo a major public transit expansion with the addition of over 91 buses, including three new electric vehicles, around April 2025.

Other additions include 337 new bus stops and the doubling of bus routes across Jeddah, from six to 14. The city aims to serve about 9 million riders annually.

Yousef Al-Sayegh, CEO of Jeddah Public Transit, also announced plans for Saudi Arabia to launch its own exclusive private taxi service. The announcement was made during an event hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce’s Saudi Arabia Chapter.
