UAE to Invest $31 Billion in AI Data Centre in France

The French Presidency has announced that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will invest USD 31 billion to build a cutting-edge AI data center in France. This facility, designed to store vast amounts of data and meet the energy demands of advanced AI technology, will serve as the heart of a new AI campus—set to be the largest of its kind in Europe.

With a capacity of up to one gigawatt, the AI campus is part of a broader AI partnership signed between French President Emmanuel Macron and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The announcement comes as global experts convene in Paris to discuss AI’s opportunities and risks. This high-profile gathering sets the stage for an upcoming AI summit, where world leaders and thousands of attendees will explore AI’s impact on business and Europe’s position in the global AI race.
