RTA to Auction 90 Premium License Plates This April

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will host a premium vehicle license plate auction on Saturday, April 26th, at the Grand Hyatt Dubai. A total of 90 distinctive number plates will be offered, featuring two, three, four, and five-digit combinations.

The auction will include plates under a range of categories, including AA, BB, CC, IJ, O, P, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Among the most anticipated are super numbers such as 22 CC, 19 BB, and 20 BB, which are expected to draw significant interest from bidders. In Dubai’s license plate market, lower-digit plates are typically considered more valuable and tend to command higher prices.

Earlier in 2024, plate AA16 fetched AED 7.32 million at auction, while AA999 sold for AED 4.05 million, reflecting the ongoing demand for exclusive number plates in the emirate.

Interested participants can register for the upcoming auction through the RTA website, mobile app, or in person at Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, and Al Barsha. A registration fee of AED 120 applies, along with a security check of AED 25,000.

Seating at the event will be limited, with priority granted to registered bidders. On-site registration at the Grand Hyatt will also be available from 2pm on the day of the auction.
