Red Sea Fund Expands Film Support to Emerging Asian Filmmakers

For the first time, the Red Sea Fund - a key initiative of the Red Sea International Film Foundation - is extending its post-production grants beyond Saudi Arabia, the Arab world, and Africa to include emerging filmmakers from Asia.

Applications for the 2025 funding cycle are now open, with a deadline of February 27th. This round specifically targets feature films, documentaries, and animated works that have completed production but need final touches to hit the screen.

Since its launch in 2021, the Red Sea Fund has backed over 280 films, many of which have earned acclaim at international festivals. By offering direct financial support, the initiative continues to champion bold storytelling and bridge cultural boundaries.
