Saudi Arabia Sees 4 Million More Airline Passengers in H1 2025

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) reported significant growth in flight traffic and passenger numbers during the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.

According to GACA President Abdulaziz Al Duailej, the Kingdom recorded 20,000 more flights and 4 million more passengers - marking a 7% and 4% increase, respectively. Eight new destinations were also added to the network, bringing the total to 140. However, the sector saw a 4% decline in air cargo volume, falling from 597,000 to 575,000 tonnes.

The figures were presented during the 17th meeting of the Steering Committee for Activating the Aviation Program.
