South Cairo Electricity Launches Unified Charging Program
The new initiative will incorporate all smart electricity meters, providing a first of its kind solution.
South Cairo Electricity Distribution Company commenced the official operation of the unified charging program for all types of prepaid meters today, becoming the first distribution company under the supervision of the General Administration for Issuance Services, Smart Meters, and Prepaid Services to do so.
In a statement, the company highlighted that this achievement represents a significant milestone that required notable participation and cooperation from the information systems sector, metering sector, commercial affairs sectors, and network sectors.
The unified charging program will gradually be implemented in other distribution companies in the coming period, aiming to standardize the prepaid meter charging system nationwide.
