Special Olympics UAE Athletes Claim Six Medals in Portugal

Female athletes representing Special Olympics UAE brought home six medals from the first ever International Portuguese Special Olympics Summer Games, held in Aveiro, Portugal, over three days.

Competing against more than 300 female athletes from eight countries - including the host nation Portugal, Spain, Italy, Malta, Monaco, Romania and Andorra - the UAE delegation excelled in the rhythmic gymnastics arena, particularly in the hoop and ball events. Their medal haul comprised one gold, three silver, and two bronze.
