Emergency Entry Visa Fee to Rise to USD 30 From March 1st
Tourism firms were instructed to update programmes and coordinate with overseas partners and travel agents so travellers are informed of the new procedures.
The fee for Egypt’s emergency entry visa issued at ports will increase to USD 30 starting March 1st, 2026, up from the current USD 25 rate.
The update was confirmed in a formal statement by the Chamber of Travel and Tourism Companies and Agencies, which said the adjustment comes within broader measures aimed at organising entry procedures for arriving travellers. According to the chamber, the revised fee forms part of efforts to regulate operations across different entry points and streamline processes for inbound visitors.
Tourism companies have been asked to take the necessary steps to ensure their programmes align with the updated rate once it comes into force.
The chamber stressed that companies should update product information, documentation and traveller communications to reflect the USD 30 fee from March 1st, 2026, in order to avoid discrepancies at ports of entry.
It also called for advance coordination with overseas partners and travel agents to ensure that visitors receive clear guidance on the revised visa procedures before arriving in Egypt.
The aim, it said, is to prevent disruptions to travel movements or planned itineraries following implementation.
