State Media Chief Jomana Alrashid Selected for TIME100's 2025 List
The CEO of Saudi Research and Media Group has been selected for Time100 Next 2025, Time Magazine's annual list of influential individuals across industries.

Joumana Rashed Al-Rashed has been named to the 2025 TIME100 Next list. Appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Research & Media Group (SRMG) in 2020, she became the first Saudi woman to lead SRMG, the MENA region’s largest integrated media group.
Al-Rashed, who holds a degree in political science from SOAS, University of London, and a master’s in international journalism from City, University of London, previously worked as a media adviser and as communications director at the Saudi Embassy in London.
Since taking the helm of SRMG, Al-Rashed has overseen a broad transformation from legacy print to a multi-platform operation across content, partnerships, research, training, innovation, events, and venture investment. Recent initiatives include the launch of Manga Arabia, SRMG’s majority acquisition of Thmanyah, and high-profile partnerships with Bloomberg (Asharq Business with Bloomberg), The Independent (licensed multi-language editions), and Billboard (Billboard Arabia).
SRMG’s portfolio today spans around 30 outlets reaching about 210 million people across multiple languages and platforms.
Beyond SRMG, Al-Rashed chairs the Red Sea Film Festival Foundation and Thmanyah Publishing & Distribution, and sits on the board of Argaam Investment Company, among other roles. She was also named among Forbes Middle East’s 100 Most Powerful Businesswomen in 2023 and 2024.
