The Suez Canal Authority has signed an agreement with leading ship management group, Greek V, and Egyptian-Greek businessman, Eric Admas, to develop a company to manage solid and liquid waste.
The company will provide logistical service for ships transiting in the canal. These services will align with international environmental standards.
The agreement is in accordance with the Egyptian government's strategy to develop a ‘blue economy’, the Suez Canal’s vision to be transformed into ‘the green canal’ by 2030, and the country’s ambitions to become a transit route for clean energy.
