Three Long Weekend Breaks Added to Next Academic Year
The Ministry of Education has added three public holidays, in addition to those already consecrated in the Hijri calendar.
The Ministry of Education has announced three additional long weekends for Saudi schools this coming academic year.
The Cabinet has now approved the general layout of the academic calendar for the next five years, from the Hijri year 1446/7 onwards.
Public education staff and students will enjoy a long weekend break in the first semester, falling on 14th Rabi al-Akhir, preceded by the National Day on 19-20th Rabi al-Awwal.
The second semester will include another long weekend on 10-11th Jumada al-Akhirah, in addition to Fountain Day on 24th Shaban.
The third semester will include a final additional long weekend on 6-7th Dhu al-Qadah.
