TikTok Regional Headquarters in Riyadh Set to Open in Early 2025
TikTok, which has identified Saudi Arabia as a crucial market in the Arab region, aims to forge partnerships across various sectors.
The CEO of TikTok, Shou Zi Chew, announced plans to set up the company's regional headquarters in Riyadh during the first quarter of 2025. Speaking at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) conference, he emphasised the opportunity to share Saudi Arabia's history, culture and arts with a global audience.
The platform, which has identified Saudi Arabia as a crucial market in the Arab region, aims to forge partnerships across various sectors to support local businesses in achieving their marketing goals.
Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, Khalid Al-Falih, revealed that the number of international companies establishing regional offices in the Kingdom has surpassed the target of 500 set for 2030, with 540 companies now present. A recent policy change mandates that government entities will only contract with foreign companies that have regional headquarters within the Kingdom, further incentivizing international firms to set up operations in Saudi Arabia.
