Tourists Spent Over SAR 141 Billion in Saudi Arabia in 2023

A recent report by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism announced that in 2023, tourists spent over SAR 141 billion in the kingdom.

The ministry's annual tourism statistics report revealed that the largest portion of this expenditure, over SAR 45 billion, was on accommodation, followed by SAR 25.5 billion on shopping and SAR 21.5 billion on local transportation.

Expenditure on food and beverages reached SAR 19.4 billion, while other expenses surpassed SAR 25.5 billion. Spending on entertainment amounted to SAR 4 billion.

In 2023, Saudi Arabia welcomed over 27 million international tourists. When combined with domestic tourism, the total number of tourists reached 109 million.
