UAE ‘Recommends’ Three Days of Remote Work for Private Sector
MoHRE urged all private sector establishments to monitor official federal and local sources closely to ensure both employee safety and regulatory compliance.
The UAE’s Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has issued an urgent directive recommending that private sector companies implement remote working arrangements and avoid placing workers in open or exposed areas, amid the rapidly escalating regional security situation following US and Israeli military strikes on Iran.
The directive, active from Sunday, March 1st through Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026, calls on private sector establishments to limit employee presence in open areas except for roles requiring essential physical attendance. The Ministry clarified that decisions to suspend or modify work arrangements remain under the authority of local competent authorities, depending on how the situation develops.
The announcement comes as the broader Middle East remains on high alert, with UAE airlines extending flight cancellations amid ongoing regional airspace closures.
MoHRE urged all private sector establishments to monitor official federal and local sources closely to ensure both employee safety and regulatory compliance.
