UFC to Host Inaugural Event in Saudi Arabia on June 22nd
The main event will see No. 3 Robert Whittaker up against undefeated No. 10 fighter Khamzat Chimaev.
The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will make its debut in Saudi Arabia on June 22, featuring a main event between No. 3 Robert Whittaker and undefeated No. 10 Khamzat Chimaev.
Hailing from Australia, former middleweight champion Whittaker (26-7-0) aims to extend his winning streak, while Chimaev (13-0-0), based in the UAE, seeks to maintain his perfect record.
The fight card also includes Sergei Pavlovich vs. Alexander Volkov in an all-Russia clash, Kelvin Gastelum vs. Daniel Rodriguez in a welterweight bout, Johnny Walker vs. Volkan Oezdemir, and Shara Magomedov vs. Joilton Lutterbach.
For Arab fans, Nasrat Haqparast from Morocco will fight Jared Gordon, and Abu Azaitar, also from Morocco, will face Denis Tiuliulin.
Organised in collaboration with the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority, tickets for the event are now on sale.
