USD 100 Billion Aviation Investment in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is set to present over USD 100 billion in aviation investment opportunities during the World Economic Forum in Davos, running from January 20th to the 24th. The Saudi House Pavilion will spotlight transformative aviation projects, including airport modernisation, new aircraft acquisitions and advanced logistics hubs.

The strategy includes USD 50 billion for major airport expansions, USD 40 billion for acquiring new aircraft, and USD 10 billion for establishing logistics hubs in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam. GACA’s executive vice president of strategy highlighted goals to triple passenger traffic, expand to 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tonnes of cargo annually.

Key projects like the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh, with six runways, will be discussed alongside public-private partnership opportunities for regional airport upgrades. The showcase also explores emerging aviation sectors, including Advanced Air Mobility, cargo and business aviation.
