Avec Karim is Hosting an All-Seafood Popup for Easter
The Mediterranean-style concept leans into spring with a Suez-catch-inspired set menu, built around lighter, coastal flavours.
If your Easter plans were looking a little too lamb-heavy, Chef Kareem Abdelrahman is switching things up and heading straight for the sea.
From April 10th to 13th, he’s bringing back his pop-up Le Bistrot to Walk of Cairo with an all-seafood Easter menu. The Mediterranean-style concept leans into spring with a Suez-catch-inspired set menu, built around lighter, coastal flavours.
Abdelrahman — the chef behind Avec Karim — tends to work in short runs and private dining formats, focusing on structured set menus rather than à la carte. His pop-ups usually revolve around a single idea, executed across a full experience, and this one follows the same approach.
The four-course lineup starts with simple openers like bread and roe-infused butter before moving through a mix of cold and hot seafood appetisers, featuring seasonal fish, shrimp, and Mediterranean staples. The meal builds up to a main centred around fresh catch and house-made pasta, before wrapping with a citrusy, spring-leaning dessert.
Running for one weekend only, the Easter edition of Le Bistrot is strictly reservation-based, with bookings now open via Instagram.
