The family-owned bakery and café has been a feature of Cairo's Downtown area since 1898, standing out among Cairo's crowded food scene not just for its historic legacy, but also for its quality coffee and sandwiches. With branches in Downtown, Dokki, and Zamalek, Simonds has been serving its French and Oriental pastries to customers across Cairo through its online bakery and storied shops.
According to a teaser posted by Simond's Instagram page, the historic brand will soon make its debut in the United States.
