Pier88’s Khufu’s Bistro is Now Open
An intimate dining experience with views of the Great Pyramids of Giza, Khufu’s Bistro is an extension of the renowned Khufu’s.
Khufu’s Bistro, the latest addition to the Pier 88 Group and an extension to the iconic Khufu’s, has officially opened its doors, offering an intimate dining experience with stunning views of the Great Pyramids of Giza. The brainchild of Italian restaurateur Giovanni Bolandrini, in collaboration with Egyptian chef Mostafa Seif, Khufu’s Bistro blends Mediterranean and Egyptian cuisines in a unique fusion of flavours.
“Khufu’s Bistro is a mixture of Arab cuisine, with ingredients derived from the different kitchens that surround us in Mediterranean countries… We’ve combined foul and tahini with tuna tartare. It’s about being non-traditional,” Chef Mostafa Seif, Executive Chef at Khufu’s, tells SceneEats.
The bistro’s cosy interiors foster a familial atmosphere. “It’s a more intimate setting here at Khufu’s Bistro. It’s a familial feeling,” Chef Seif shares. With familiar dishes that carry a twist like smoked eggplant dip and squid muhammara, Khufu’s offers a fresh take on traditional fare. “When I’m making Egyptian food, I feel as though I’m representing a country’s culture,” Seif adds.
Now open to the public, Khufu’s Bistro promises a truly unforgettable intimate culinary experience.
