Speciality Bun Just Dropped a Breakfast Biscuit
Specialty Būn turns a coffee-shop hunger into a golden Breakfast Biscuit filled with eggs, cheese and hot honey at Al Kahf.
Specialty Būn has spent years attending carefully to coffee, a pursuit that eventually produced an unavoidable physiological complication: everyone was over-caffeinated and hungry. At its Al Kahf space, the coffee shop has addressed the second condition with the Specialty Būn Kitchen and its first creation, the Breakfast Biscuit.
The biscuit in question is American in temperament rather than British: soft, golden and made with buttermilk, then filled with fluffy eggs, melted cheese, sautéed mushrooms, zesty pickles, hot honey and a proprietary something responsible for additional richness. It is a breakfast assembled around contrast - soft and crisp, savoury and sweet - and substantial enough to restore equilibrium after a coffee taken on an empty stomach.
The Breakfast Biscuit is served at Specialty Būn Al Kahf from Sunday through Thursday, between 8 AM and 2 PM.
