Takosan Just Dropped a Sushi Burger

We've had sushi burritos. We've had sushi tacos. Takosan even gave us a sushi dawg at one point. At this stage, the only thing left might be sushi pizza, but we're fairly certain that already exists somewhere, and we simply haven't tuned into that frequency yet.

Now, Takosan is adding another form to the sushi multiverse with its new Sushi Burger.

Instead of traditional buns, the burger is sandwiched between two deep-fried rice patties coated in crispy panko breadcrumbs. Inside, you'll find cucumber slices layered with a crab stick mixture tossed with sauce and scallions, all topped with slices of salmon before being capped off with another crunchy rice bun. It's sushi. It's a burger. It's neither and both at the same time.

Available at Takosan branches across Egypt, the Sushi Burger is the latest entry in the country's growing catalogue of foods refusing to stay in their assigned categories.
