This Bakery in Alexandria Just Dropped Chocolate Sourdough
Yes, even dessert joined the sourdough wave.
Alexandria's Sourdough House now serves chocolate sourdough—and yes, this one comes courtesy of Aya Ibrahim casually getting it right.
After sharing her own sourdough attempts (both suspiciously perfect, by the way), content creator Aya Ibrahim somehow made the jump from home baking to inspiring an actual bakery item.
If you’re not already locked in, Sourdough House is an artisan bakery in Kafr Abdou, Alexandria, known for fresh, hand-made bakes - serving everything from classic sourdough loaves to focaccia and bagels.
As for the chocolate sourdough, think their classic tangy, slow-fermented loaf—but with ribbons of chocolate running through it, melting into the crumb as you tear it open. It’s indulgent, a little dramatic, and very much not pretending to be a “just one slice” situation.
