Cairo International Short Film Festival Opens 2026 Submissions
Submissions are open until October 15th for the eighth Cairo International Short Film Festival, with selected films set to screen theatrically followed by audience Q&As.
The Cairo International Short Film Festival has opened submissions for its eighth edition, inviting filmmakers from Egypt and around the world to submit short-form work across fiction, documentary and student categories.
Eligible films must run between four and 30 minutes and must have been produced no earlier than January 2025.
Selected titles will be screened at a live theatrical venue during the festival, with screenings followed by Q&A sessions giving filmmakers the opportunity to discuss their work directly with audiences.
Beyond the festival itself, organisers said screenings and support services will continue throughout the year, with a focus on helping independent filmmakers develop, produce and distribute their work.
Submissions are open until October 15th through the link in the Cairo International Short Film Festival’s Instagram bio.
