Zawya Shorts Festival Announces 10th Edition Jury
The jury lineup includes Omar El Zohairy, Noha Adel and Amir El Masry.
Zawya Shorts, Zawya Cinema’s annual film festival, has revealed the jury for its 10th edition - its youngest lineup yet.
This year’s jury includes Egyptian director and screenwriter Omar El Zohairy, best known for his Cannes-winning debut feature Feathers (2021); writer-director Noha Adel, whose latest feature Spring Came on Laughing (2025) received critical acclaim; and Egyptian-British actor and producer Amir El Masry, a 2022 Scottish BAFTA winner for Limbo and BAFTA Breakthrough Brit, with credits including The Crown (2023) and Giant (2026).
This year, 28 Egyptian shorts compete for the top prizes, alongside screenings and filmmaker Q&As, with awards set to be announced on Saturday, March 7th.
